Virginia Film Festival is more than a 4 day festival of films. We engage the local community through school screenings, interactive workshops, filmmaking competitions, and more. Sign up for our email list to stay up-to-date with what we offer.
Throughout the year, we partner with the region's schools to screen relevant films and host educational panels.
Our youth filmmaking competition is open to Virginia-based high school students and offers cash awards to the top films.
This family-friendly, day-long celebration is full of free film screenings, theater and music performances, and much more fun!
Young Filmmakers Academy
Designed to engage youth in authentic film production, YFA introduces students to the challenge of filmmaking.
Free and open to the public, our workshops offer an exciting and educational window into the film world.
