Django
In 1940s Paris, Django Reinhardt electrified audiences with his distinctive style of “hot jazz”. Serving as a tribute to the European Jazz pioneer, the Wartime biopic Django recounts a tumultuous chapter in the life of the legendary Romani guitarist. When Nazism forces Reinhardt to escape German-occupied Paris, the jazz celebrity refuses to become silent as his music is praised as a form of protest. In an effort to overcome the period of suffering, Reinhardt charms admirers, including his muse Louise de Klerk, to aid in the resistance against the Third Reich. Introduction by jazz guitarist Rick Olivarez
