In light of the evolving COVID-19 situation, our 5-day Film Festival will shift to a virtual format this fall. Presented October 21-25, our 2020 program will feature a diverse slate of features, documentaries, and shorts alongside panels, Q&As, and a series of conversations with leading industry experts and artists. More information on Free Student Tickets will be announced soon. A full program of virtual screenings and discussions will be released in early October.
Although our Festival Ambassadors and Festival Scholars Programs will not take place during the 2020 Festival, you can find an archive of the Virginia Film Festival's opportunities for UVA students to engage with and participate in the Virginia Film Festival each Fall.
The Festival Ambassadors program gives UVA students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event-planning and entertainment publicity.
The Festival Scholars Program offers a 6-day immersive, educational, and networking experience to UVA students around the themes of filmmaking, film industry, and film criticism.
