They’ll Love Me When I’m Dead

Orson Welles, acclaimed director of Citizen Kane, struggled much of his film career to obtain the same level of success as his breakout film. In one last attempt to get it right, a decade before his death Welles began production on what would become a 48-year long process of making his final film, The Other Side of the Wind. Using a mix of never-before-seen archival behind-the-scenes footage and contemporary interviews with key figures in the later years of Welles’ life, this documentary chronicles Welles’ maddening and tragic final chapter.
