 Assistant Box Office Manager 

  • Number of Positions: 1
  • Contract Dates: 10/3-11/8/22
  • Pay Rate: $25/hour
  • Description: The VAFF Assistant Box Office Manager will support the UVA Arts Box Office Manager and ticketing staff during the 2022 Film Festival.  This position will work closely with VAFF ticketing staff to provide excellent customer service during all VAFF events. Qualified candidates will be detail oriented, flexible, able to execute tasks in a fast-paced environment, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Experience handling credit cards and cash is preferred.

Box Office Sales Staff

  • Number of Positions: 8-12
  • Contract Dates: 10/27-11/6/22
  • Pay Rate: $18/hour
  • Description: The Virginia Film Festival is accepting applications for 5+ Box Office Sales Staff positions.  This dynamic team will work during the week-long Film Festival in the VAFF Headquarters, located at Violet Crown on the Downtown Mall, and in various screening locations. The Box Office Staff will provide excellent customer service while handling cash, credit cards, and all additional ticketing transactions during VAFF events. These positions will maintain the utmost professionalism while representing the Festival to the University and local communities.

2022 Internship Program

We are no longer accepting applications for the 2022 Internship Program. Applications for the 2022 Internship Program are under review.

The VAFF hosts an intensive internship program each year that gives five students hands-on experience in all aspects of planning and running a five-day festival. Our internships are open only to current, full-time University of Virginia students.

2022 Internships are available in the following key areas:

  • Outreach & Events
  • Production
  • Programming
  • Promotions & Social Media

Qualified candidates will possess excellent verbal and written communications skill, and the ability to organize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment. Applicants must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, flexible, and be able to work in a team situation.
