Motherless Brooklyn

In 1950s New York City, four former orphans make up The Minna Men, a makeshift private investigation firm. At the head of the business is Frank Minna, who schooled the young men on how to survive in the city. When a business venture goes unexpectedly awry, Frank is left dead with no leads on his killer. Lionel Essrog, a member of The Minna Men living with Tourette’s Syndrome, leads the charge in solving the mystery. Forced to navigate wild and untamed Brooklyn, Lionel encounters characters of all types—friends, enemies, and those he can’t be sure of—as he works to find out the truth about what happened to Frank.
