Placed on compulsory leave from a Canadian customs college, Alexandre takes the opportunity to make a surprise visit to his mother, owner of a drag strip 45 kilometers from Montreal. While Alexandre forms a friendship with a mysterious Icelandic female drag racer, he becomes the prime suspect in a case involving sexually explicit cartoons found on the door of the church. This semi-autobiographical film, based on the director’s experiences working in customs, is full of unexpected turns, eccentric characters, and the personal journey of coming home.
