Grand Prize, Jeonju International Film Festival

From You follows a family of dreamers and artists. Minju studies design in college, Seungju is an aspiring actress, and their brother Dongmin makes films starring their mother, Hyejeong. Pressure for the siblings to actualize their dreams through their artistic vocations weighs heavy on their shoulders.

Their anxiety seems to manifest physically, as well as psychologically. Director Shin Dongmin’s inspiration for the film “is to fulfill [his] mother’s wish,” as he casts his mother Hyejeong as herself.
