Acclaimed Austrian writer and director Sandra Wollner (The Trouble with Being Born) delivers an affecting story of sudden loss, told in a fresh and beguilingly painterly register. Everytime focuses on a mother, daughter, and teenage boy in their shared struggle with blame and forgiveness in the wake of an unthinkable accident that shattered their lives in differing but overlapping ways.

When the mother (a magnificent Birgit Minichmayr) brings the unlikely trio together for a trip to Tenerife, they see their pasts and presents slowly overlap under the glow of the ever-present summer sun, in this piercing and visually stunning film shot by Aftersun cinematographer Gregory Oke.
