There is no 20th-century artist who left a deeper mark on music, streetwear, art, and the collective popular consciousness than Basquiat. His legacy was cemented early on by his incredibly electric and evocative works. However, after his tragic death, Jean-Michel Basquiat’s life became more than fiction, it transformed into the mythos of the artist Basquiat.  

For the first time ever comes a vibrant documentary about Jean-Michel, approved by the Basquiat estate with participation from his family. The people who lived life beside him and the ones who knew him intimately, tell the truth of Jean-Michel, the boy, brother, and person.
