The legacy of colonization continues to dictate people’s lives, and in Kenya’s tea highlands, two stories unfold showcasing the fight to reclaim what history has taken. Mr. Mungai submits a claim to regain stolen family land, but that pits him against a mammoth conglomerate still operating on the land. Stephen is the child of a tea worker on the plantation in the center of dispute, and for him history is not a distant memory but an active force pressing on his present. 

Local producer Bea, is drawn to the escalating tension and uncovers suppressed truths and long-silenced voices. Blending documentary with lived memory, this haunting film is raw and honest as it explores themes of accountability, resilience, and the determination to confront the past.
