On days when the sun is radiant and the wind is just right, Jeong-sun (Yeom Hye-ran) is wracked by dissociative episodes and seizures. The cause is a secret and terrible past being repressed by her mind that even leaves Jeong-sun unable to recall her life before the age of eight. She is pushed to seek treatment by the growing resentment of her son, Young-oak, a high school junior drawn into a violent crowd. Jeong-sun must embark on a journey of healing to confront the horrific day trapped deep within her memory.
Set against the Jeju April 3rd Massacre, My Name is incandescent and raw as it dares to defy the lasting fractures of generational trauma with empathy and hope.
