A Light Beneath Their Feet follows a family coping with the mother’s bipolar disorder. Gloria (Manning, Orange is the New Black) is a young mother struggling with the looming departure of her daughter, Beth. Beth battles with the decision of whether to remain the stable rock in her mother’s life or to go to her dream college across country. When Beth embarks on a rough journey to self-awareness, Gloria is left to become anxious and manic. As they take their own paths, they fight together for a healthier interdependence.
