Aggie
Art collector and American Philanthropist Agnes “Aggie” Gund has received international recognition for her dedication to utilizing art as a means to transform consciousness and inspire social change. Discovering her love for art in high school, Aggie began a career in collecting art and eventually using the proceeds of sold works to fuel various commitments to social justice–including efforts to reform the American criminal justice system. Director Catherine Gund documents her mother’s journey to becoming an internationally recognized benefactor of the arts while exploring the intersections of art, race, and social justice. Introduction by Matthew McLendon (UVA).
