Taking place a few years after the Civil War, Bill Pullman (Independence Day, The Equalizer) stars as Lefty Brown, who will transcend his limits in order to avenge the murder of his friend, famed frontier lawman Eddie Johnson. Johnson is unexpectedly murdered just after he is elected Senator from Montana. Lefty nobly vows to avenge Johnson, but Eddie’s wife, Laura, doubts that the illiterate 63 year-old man is up to the task. He reunites with the men he used to ride with and confronts the ugly realities of frontier justice. The film was written, directed, and produced by Jared Moshe (Dead Man’s Burden) and premiered at the SXSW Film Festival. Introduction by William Little (UVA)
