Set in the 1960s, A 65-year old cattle auctioneer and former junior rodeo champ from rural Oklahoma forms a tight bond with his young grandson while teaching him a few tricks from his previous trade. Directed and produced by a father-daughter duo, Calf Rope is based on Hawkins’ memories of his own grandfather and the legacy he unknowingly left behind.
