Thirteen-year-old neighbors Léo and Rémi share an enviously close friendship—an indescribable connection which comes under the scrutiny of their schoolmates. Crumbling under the intense surveillance of their peers, Léo pulls away to gain acceptance. Hurt by this, Rémi withdraws, and a once beautiful friendship is tragically torn apart. Close presents the rarely illustrated depths of a friendship between two young men, exploring themes of friendship, love, and identity in a world that is at times unwilling to recognize them for what and who they truly are.

“Close is artistically ambitious. Like a cinematic symphony, a musical piece in perfect harmony, not a note out of place.” –National Herald, Namrata Joshi
