Suzanna, 23, disrupts the delicate ecosystem of her small Midwestern town when she comes out as transgender. Much to the community’s discomfort, Suzanna chooses to undergo a female-to-male transition and takes the name of Coby. In order to fully support and accommodate the needs of their son, Coby’s family must question their entire belief system. Coby’s half-brother, filmmaker Christian Sonderegger, documents Coby’s testosterone treatment as well as their family’s response. Sonderegger seeks to show the adjustment process faced by the entire family as Coby’s transition progresses.
