Grand Street
Camilla’s elegant life as a fast-track film executive has come undone. Just as she is about to give way to quiet desperation, she meets Amory, an aspiring writer whose work she rejected a year earlier. Over the next 24 hours, he takes her on a sleepless journey through the dark and restless city, as they edge closer to discovering their secret connection. Set in the present, Sidón’s impressionistic film evokes a lost slice of Manhattan from the late 1980s and discovers how a chance encounter can be life changing. Discussion with writer-director Lex Sidón, producer Kyung Choi Bordes, actor Tom Byam Shaw, and moderator John McAllister
