Just Mercy
Bryan Stevenson, a young lawyer in Monroeville, Alabama, has dedicated himself to a case involving Walter McMillian, a death row prisoner with no proper defense. Despite overwhelming evidence of his innocence, McMillian was convicted of murder by a jury who ignored key witnesses and took only a few hours to come to their verdict. Based on the memoir of the same name, this powerful and thought-provoking true story delves into the consequences of a biased, imperfect system and exposes the harsh realities faced by the wrongly convicted.
