This sultry film, based on the Grahame Swift novella of the same name, pairs up-and-coming stars Odessa Young (Assassination Nation) and Josh O’Connor (The Crown) with the Academy Award-winning trio of Olivia Colman, Colin Firth, and Glenda Jackson in a bittersweet story of secret love in post WWI England. When housemaid Jane Fairchild (Odessa Young) sneaks off to see her wealthy neighbor and longtime lover (Josh O’Connor) before his wedding to another woman. Their idyllic hours together are overshadowed by recent and looming tragedies that will change both of their lives forever.
