When Wendy, an autistic girl with a strong independence, a keen intelligence, and a playful sense of humor, comes of age, she runs away from home to deliver a script she wrote for a Hollywood film competition. After she leaves, Wendy’s pragmatic caretaker Scottie and her older sister Audrey chase after her in an adventurous and life changing road trip. Along the way, Wendy searches for a sense of belonging and acceptance in a world she finds utterly overwhelming and confusing. As the long voyage continues, Wendy and her pursuers begin to embark on an internal journey, trying to find the courage it takes to be oneself.
