After Thana, a successful architect in Bangkok, reaches a mid-life crisis he encounters Pop Aye, the elephant with which he spent an idyllic childhood in Thailand’s countryside. Thana and Pop Aye embark on a road trip on which they encounter unique people and situations, such as singing karaoke with a transgender sex worker and finding companionship in a poetic yet delusional pauper. These two misfits come together on an adventure through which they search for meaning and belonging in their respective environments. Pop Aye is the center of a mysterious, funny, and often absurd universe as he lumbers along with great dignity and endless fortitude.
