PRESENCE

Have you ever wondered what a ghost story might look like from a ghost’s perspective? In Presence, a haunting psychological thriller that explores grief and connection, celebrated director Steven Soderbergh (Traffic, Erin Brockovich) puts a new spin on the horror genre by having much of the film take place from the point of view of a voyeuristic, housebound spirit. The film follows a tightly wound mother (Lucy Liu) grappling with the loss of her husband while trying to balance her career and her teenage children. When she begins to experience ghostly visitations, her emotions and her understanding of reality become muddled. Presence invites viewers to contemplate the connections that endure beyond life itself.
