When a paraplegic former drug-addict sets his mind to becoming the first person to push an ordinary wheelchair 3,100 miles from California to New York, he encounters hellish conditions and extreme personalities. He will face intense physical challenges, mediate infighting within his ragtag crew, and discover unexpected generosity everywhere. Many strangers walk or roll along side Gabriel Cordell during the 99-day long journey on back roads through forgotten towns.
