The Science of Pixar

Dr. Tony DeRose, Senior Scientist and Lead of the Research Group at Pixar Animation Studios will present a master class on physical simulation and the mathematics of surface modeling that he has developed for Pixar. In addition to his advanced work in computer animation, DeRose is an inspiring educator who has undertaken a number of initiatives to make math, science, and engineering available to wide audience. Masterclass lead by Tony DeRose (Pixar Animation Studios), with Earl Mark (UVA) and Sara Maloni (UVA)
