Song Without a Name
In a Peruvian clinic, a young woman gives birth to a healthy baby girl, only to have her whisked away for what are supposedly routine healthcare checks. When the baby, and the clinic, seem to disappear overnight, the impoverished parents are left without hope or refuge. Enlisting the help of a local investigative journalist, the young couple begins to unearth a child trafficking ring far beyond the scope of their own suffering. A hauntingly shot and scored mystery, Melina León’s debut film dramatizes a true-life story of a mother’s worst nightmare.
