Inanna, a young woman working as an actress by day and a stripper by night, enters into a complicated and passionate love affair with a troubled mask maker. As their relationship grows increasingly more intense, it causes Inanna to sacrifices pieces of herself in order to win his love. Cast in a performance art piece that exposes how women and the earth have been wounded by patriarchy, Inanna becomes haunted by the ways her life and the play become enmeshed. SPLit is an evocative portrait of Inanna’s journey to free herself from the grasp of her abusive boyfriend and to fully embrace her identity and her independence.
