The Charmer

Esmail seems to be a successful, charming bachelor frequenting Copenhagen’s high-end nightlife establishments. In reality, however, Esmail is an Iranian immigrant attempting to become a Danish citizen before the time runs out on his visa. As the clock ticks, Esmail lives in a shelter, works long hours as a mover, and spends his nights searching for a woman to marry in order to secure his stay in Denmark. Soon, he meets Sara, who sees through Esmail’s schemes, but nonetheless falls in love with him. Sara seems like the perfect solution to his problem, but the arrangement becomes complicated when Esmail’s past catches up to him.
