The Gullspång Miracle

Norwegian sisters Kari and May are dedicated to their religious convictions, often influenced by the divine signs they perceive all around them. When May decides to move to Sweden to be closer to Kari, the two encounter an instinctive feeling in the kitchen during an apartment tour.

Kari and May are shocked to discover the woman selling the apartment looks nearly identical to their older sister, Astrid, who took her own life thirty years prior. Even more unusual, the seller goes by the same unique nickname as Kari and May’s deceased sister. To uncover the truth behind these unusual circumstances, the sisters recruit filmmaker Maria Fredriksson. Fredriksson thrusts herself into a world of family secrets and bizarre mysteries, culminating in this riveting, stranger-than-fiction documentary.
