The Miami Heat Wheels, a wheelchair basketball team, are on a quest for a national title. Devoted to a game that is physically, mentally, and emotionally draining, the members of the team push through each season without the recognition or resources of mainstream sports. Although the Heat Wheels’ passion and drive are abundant, the team’s dwindling checkbook threatens to cut short its attempt to take the national title. In a city known for its sports and diversity, the Miami Heat Wheels have an opportunity for second chances, and to win against all odds. Discussion with director-editor Shaina Allen and producer-cinematographer Mike Esposito
