VFF Street Fleet
Calling All UVA Students
Applications are now open for the 2017 VFF Street Fleet, a team of 10-15 UVA students passionate about the arts who serve as representatives of the Virginia Film Festival from the program announcement on Tuesday, September 26, through Family Day on Saturday, November 11. Street Fleet members have the unique opportunity to work closely with Festival employees and the UVA arts community to promote VFF films to UVA students.
Expectations
VFF Street Fleet team members will have the following responsibilities leading up to the days of the Festival (Nov. 9-12):
- Paint Beta Bridge
- Distribute handbills on Grounds to UVA students
- Hang up flyers around Grounds
- Visit UVA classes to promote Festival films
- Represent the Festival by staffing events
- Attend training for and staff Family Day, an all-day event on Saturday, November 11
Important Dates
Monday, September 18: Applications due
Wednesday, September 20: Street Fleet selected
Wednesday, September 27: First meeting at the VFF office in Charlottesville
Saturday, November 11: Family Day
Thursday, November 9, through Sunday, November 12: Virginia Film Festival

Street Fleet team members will have the following opportunities:
