Bob Shaw is an Oscar nominated, three-time Emmy Award-winning production designer. His film designs include Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street and The Irishman, for which he was nominated for an Academy Award, as well as Too Big To Fail, directed by Curtis Hanson. Shaw has won Emmys for the Mad Men pilot; HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, alsodirected by Scorsese; and HBO’s The Gilded Age. Additional credits include Showtime’s Nurse Jackie and The Sopranos’prequel The Many Saints of Newark, for which he was nominated for three Emmys.
Shaw studied art at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and was initially a theatrical set designer. His extensive work with New York’s Public Theater resulted in designing the Broadway revival of The Pirates of Penance starring Linda Ronstadt and Kevin Kline, the original Broadway production of The Mystery of Edwin Drood, and numerous productions for Shakespeare in the Park.
