Michael Engler
Executive Producer/Director
Michael Engler is a television director. He has been nominated three times for an Emmy Award and four times for a DGA Award for Sex and the City, 30 Rock and Downton Abbey (series finale). He has also directed on such shows as Six Feet Under, The West Wing, Deadwood, and many others. He was the Executive Producer/Director for The Big Cfor Showtime. Mr. Engler’s work in film includes the 2019 Focus Features production of Downton Abbey, as well as The Chaperone, both written by Julian Fellowes. He is currently Executive Producer and Director for HBO’s The Gilded Age.
