Michelle Gagliano’s artwork captures strong expressive movements that hold the essential forces of nature, merging historical elements and techniques through a contemporary lens. The philosophical expansion of her art embraces the nature and sustainability that stretches beyond boundaries.

Born in Jamestown, New York, in 1964, Gagliano received her MFA at American University in Washington D.C. Her resume includes residencies at the Chautauqua School of Art and Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. Gagliano has permeated the American art scene with extensive solo exhibitions, curated group shows, and museum exhibitions throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. Her accolades include the coveted Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Fellowship and Virginia Commonwealth University’s Creative Research Grant. Her works continue to be curated into major private and corporate collections internationally.
