Yasmin Williams

Yasmin Williams is an acoustic fingerstyle guitarist and film composer based in Alexandria, Virginia. She has an unorthodox, modern style of guitar playing and utilizes various techniques including alternate tunings, percussive hits, and lap tapping to great effect. Since its release in January 2021, her latest album, Urban Driftwood, has been praised by Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, The Washington Post, NPR Music, No Depression, Paste Magazine, and many others. Williams composed film scores for the documentary film Dusty & Stones and REI produced short film Finding Our Wild.
