Rachel Austin
Assistant Box Office Manager
Rachel Austin returns to the film festival for her second season to coordinate ticketing and box office staff. She comes with experience in filmmaking, arts administration, and live performance. As a professional singer and composer, Rachel writes music for film, dance, and her own live performance, regularly working in the US, Mexico, and Europe. Originally from the Shenandoah Valley, she lived in Belfast, Northern Ireland for over a decade where she taught Voice and Performance at Queen’s University Belfast. She has performed with notable musicians and dancers, such as Kronos Quartet, Anna Halprin, Molissa Fenley, the Irish National Orchestra and supporting Florence + the Machine, Nathaniel Rateliff, and others. Rachel holds a BA in electronic music composition from Mills College and an MFA in Performance + Performance Studies from Pratt Institute.
