Micro Budget

Amateur director Patrick (Patrick Noth) won’t take no for an answer. He uproots everything to move across the country with his pregnant wife to make a disaster movie. Convinced he’s creating the next great film but lacking experience, money, social skills, and control over a film set that grows more chaotic as new problems pop up left and right, this chaotic project may prove to be too much for him.

Former The Onion writer-turned-director Morgan Evans (Merry Little Batman, Broad City) employs a mix of fresh talent and industry veterans (Bobby Moynihan, Chris Parnell, Maria Bamford) to create a cringe comedy with insightful commentary on the film industry. A mockumentary packed with absurdist gags, Micro Budget is a laugh-out-loud look into what happens when a director can’t see past his own hubris.
