In 1962, U.S. Army Major Hank Marshall (Tommy Lee Jones) and his brilliant but unstable wife, Carly—Jessica Lange in a tour de force performance that landed her a Best Actress Oscar—relocate their family to a remote Alabama base, hoping for a fresh start.
