BAD SHABBOS

Audience Award Winner, Tribeca Film Festival
David and Meg are engaged, and plan to have their parents meet for the first time at David’s family’s weekly Shabbat dinner. Meg’s midwestern Catholic parents are grudgingly traveling to New York to meet their future in-laws, and aren’t exactly thrilled with the interfaith union-to-be.
Drinks start flowing, arguments ensue, and the whole shebang is dangerously close to going off the rails….and all that’s before a dead body is discovered in their midst. Highlighted by witty writing, first-rate editing, and standout performances from a dynamic ensemble including Kyra Sedgwick, Cliff “Method Man” Smith, and Catherine Curtin, Bad Shabbos brilliantly spins the one-night-in-New York story into comedic gold.
“A strong ensemble cast nails the tasty dialogue and increasingly frantic action without falling into shtick.”
-Alissa Simon, Variety
