MEMOIR OF A SNAIL
Cristal Prize for Best Feature, Annecy International Animation Film Festival
Grace Prudel is a socially awkward collector of snails and other mollusk memorabilia. Having lived a life marked by emotional upheaval, daily indignities, and sundry misfortunes, she turns to snails for solace.
Set in a whimsical clay depiction of 1970s Australia, this coming-of-age story aimed squarely at adults explores isolation, resilience, and unlikely friendships with boundless creativity and winning humor. Academy Award-Winning Director Adam Elliot (Mary and Max) makes his long-awaited return to animation is this darkly humorous stop-motion epic packed with emotional swells and richly textured characters.
Voiced by Emmy-winning actress Sarah Snook (Succession), Grace’s quirky nature and charming persistence encourage audiences to embrace their idiosyncrasies, while finding the courage to break out of their shell.
