SATURDAY NIGHT – Special Award Screening

SAT NIGHT – UNOFFICIAL Play Button

Jason Reitman (Juno, Up in the Air) reimagines what happened behind the scenes during the 90 minutes leading up of the first broadcast of Saturday Night Live in 1975. Filmed in handheld 16 mm, Saturday Night dashes through studio hallways and stages, while producer Lorne Michaels, played by Gabriel LaBelle, cannot explain his vision of the show to the rest of the team: madness ensues.

The ensemble cast features performances from Lamorne Morris as Garrett Morris, Matt Wood as John Belushi and Dylan O’Brien as Dan Aykrord as well as stellar appearances from Rachel Sennott, Nicholas Braun, Willem Dafoe, and many more. Amidst the backstage chaos, the films imagines the defining moments of the comedians and the show that would help shape the next 50 years of comedy and pop culture in America.
