The Magic Motley
Screens before the feature film The Red Turtle
A small class finds a brown paper bag in the halls of their school, but it winds up gifting each student an object that reflects their passions and interests. When one friend doesn’t receive a gift, the class mixes their own gifts together to get a camera to photograph the now closer group of friends. The Magic Motley was made through the rotoscoping animation process, compiled of over 4,700 frames, each hand filtered and colored through Photoshop.
