A Ukranian family of four spends a carefree last day of vacation in the sun-soaked Spanish island of Tenerife, blissfully unaware that they are about to become refugees due to the full-scale Russian invasion of their country. Director Damian Kocur masterfully orchestrates the tension as he uses the unique perspective of each family member to highlight the complex repercussions of the life-changing, horrific events in their homeland, even as they continued to be surrounded by their idyllic surroundings.

From the online-obsessed teenager Sofia and the innocent six-year-old Fedir to their parents Roman and Ansastasia, who work to hold things together for their family even as they mourn their own losses, the characters highlight the tensions bubbling to the surface in the shadow of a literal volcano.
