In the latest sensorial feast from celebrated U.S. director Sean Baker (The Florida Project, Red Rocket), Mikey Madison plays Ani, an exotic dancer from Brighton Beach, Brooklyn who gets her shot at a Cinderella story after impulsively marrying one of her clients. His Russian oligarch father is none too pleased with the arrangement, however, and sets out to scuttle the union, in the process dashing Ani’s rags-to-riches fantasy.

What follows is a madcap adventure for the ages: a 21st century screwball romantic comedy fueled by an unforgettable, star-making performance from Mikey Madison. Taking on concerns of love, sex, class, and personal liberty, Anora delivers quite possibly the most entertaining, hilarious, and touching cinematic ride of the year.
