We Shall Not Be Moved

U.S. Premiere

We Shall Not Be Moved tells the story of Socorro, a 67-year-old lawyer who is fiercely determined to track down the soldier who killed her brother during the 1968 Tlatelolco massacre. This obsession has strained her relationships with her sister, Esperanza, and her son, Jorge. When she finally receives a crucial clue about the soldier’s whereabouts fifty years after her brother’s death, Socorro embarks on a reckless mission for revenge.

As she delves deeper into her quest, the emotional toll on her loved ones becomes increasingly apparent, forcing Socorro to confront the consequences of her relentless pursuit. Balancing themes of vengeance and familial duty, her journey raises poignant questions about the cost of obsession and the sacrifices made in the name of justice.
